Our names are Johnette and Arianna Kalama-Nava, we are the creators and designers of Charmies of Kona. 

Charmies was founded on the inspiration and the beauty of our hometown Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. 

Our products are handmade using high quality materials and created with inspiration of our Native Hawaiian culture. We love the balance between beauty and meaning which we try to incorporate into our designs. You can find symbols, patterns, flora and Hawaiian mythology in many of our pieces. We hope that our designs not only make our wearers feel beautiful but also resonate with them!

Why the name Charmies of Kona? 

​

Before Charmies of Kona expanded to soldering, wire work and a business, it was just a hobby! A fun way to create hand made gifts for our friends and family.

 Being over a decade ago, I (Arianna) was only about 10 years old, and would call the container that held all of the beads and charms, "The Charmies Box" as a fun nickname. From then on we referred to our little hobby as making "Charmies".

As our hobby grew and developed into a business, we became more and more known as "Charmies! you guys are from Kona right?".

We figured what better way to keep our business family oriented and close to home then to name it  

"CHARMIES OF KONA"
